What are green buildings and why you should care?

Green Building (also known as green construction or sustainable building) refers to the application of environmentally responsible processes throughout a building's life-cycle: from planning to design, construction, operation, maintenance, renovation, and demolition.

It also refers to saving resources to the maximum extent, including saving energy, land, water, materials, etc., thereby reducing pollution, providing people with healthy and efficient use of space, and being in harmony with nature.

Green construction principles can easily be applied to retrofit existing buildings as well as for new constructions.
